Responsible for assisting the department manager administer the cybersecurity program for the company
Help provide leadership, governance and strategic direction for company’s information security and cybersecurity program in absence of the department manager
Responsible for reducing the cybersecurity risk to the company by ensuring all employees, staff and contractors know, understand and follow the company’s security requirements and behave in a secure manner
Responsible for the following areas of cybersecurity to ensure that Information Systems and processes are secure from unauthorized access, protected from inappropriate alteration, and available to authorized users in a timely fashion
Cybersecurity governance by:
Assisting with establishing, maintaining and enforcing cybersecurity policies, standards and guidelines
Assist with or develops, maintains and delivers cybersecurity awareness and cyber education program
Assist with or prepare and conduct security awareness material and reports
Assist with or conduct security introductory awareness to new employees
Assist with or creating and maintaining project, asset and resource matrixes
Risk management by:
Assist with or conduct security risk analysis and security metric reporting
Assisting in risk monitoring, assembly and evaluating network information; creating and tracking department reporting metrics
Security operations management by:
Contributing to the threat analysis program
Assist with or recommend best practices and enhancements to the cybersecurity posture
Assist with or provide configuration best practices (hardening) expert methodology and education.
Assist with or conduct incident handling
Program, process and procedure effectiveness by:
Assisting in process and procedure assurance
Complies with company policies and procedures
Maintains awareness of changes in security technology or financial industry
Pursues continual security training and/or security certification
Reviews daily threats and vulnerabilities, address critical ones with the Security Administrator
Assists managers in selecting third-party vendor, reviews security reports, document observations and provides an opinion on control environments applicable to information security
Represents the company when communicating with vendors and acts as a point person for cybersecurity
Contributes and participates in business contingency plan testing annually
Performs all other tasks, as assigned

Minimum of 3 years of experience related information assurance, cyber security and/or IT audit with a background in network/infrastructure administration and cybersecurity configuration
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with preference toward Computer Science or Information Systems majors in Cybersecurity

Obtained one or more security related certification such as:
CompTIA: Security+ CE
CompTIA: CASP – Advanced Security Practitioner
GIAC: GCIH – Certified Incident Handler
GIAC: GCIA – Certified Intrusion Analyst
EC–Council CNDSP Incident Responder: CEH – Certified Ethical Hacker

Operational expertise with:
TCP/IP suite of protocols
Evaluating and mitigating vulnerabilities
Gathering and analyzing threat intelligence trends and the company’s security posture.
Identifying and analyzing changes to the institution’s inherent risk profile
Working with continual process improvement models, such Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, or Deming’s Shewhart Cycle
Strong understanding of:
Security Technical Implementation Guide or Security Requirements Guide methodology
ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27002 information security management system (ISMS) standards, Best Practices and National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework
Securing Infrastructure(IaaS), Platform (PaaS), and Software as a service (SaaS) and virtualization environments
Handling security incidents and forensic management
Managerial experience is preferred
U.S. Banking regulators, policies, directives and instructions, preferably FDIC banking regulations and FFIEC guidelines is preferred
Obtained one or more technical security certification is preferred:
ISACA: CISM – Certified Information Security Manager
ISC2: CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
ISACA: CRISC – Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control
Analyze system architectures and make recommendations for improvement adhering to applicable security guidelines and standards
Understand system life cycle security requirements
Preform critical thinking and data/system analysis
Understand cybersecurity governance, policy, and regulations
Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to explain technical processes and procedures in plain English
Proactive time management and organization
Must be able to work well independently or in a group setting
Position is available 24/7 for situational reaction
Ability to travel with valid Drivers License
Sitting for several hours, wrist twisting, fine motor manipulations, must hear quiet conversation
Work is performed on a computer at a desk in an office setting
Conducts training and briefing
Must be able to travel to neighbor islands and to mainland for support or training when necessary
Pay Rate: $70,000 – $80,000/annual
